Profhilo

Profhilo is the ideal treatment for anyone wishing to transform the health and appearance of their skin. Widely known in the press as the revolutionary 'injectable moisturizer’ Profhilo has seen a huge growth in popularity, with clients becoming increasingly interested in not only the visual appearance but the wellbeing of their skin. Profhilo is also a fantastic option for those who are not yet ready for dermal fillers or anti-wrinkle options.

Profhilo is mostly made up of Hyaluronic Acid, which occurs naturally in our skin but depletes with signs of ageing. As the results of the treatment start to show, you will see plumper, brighter and more smooth skin with signs of fine lines, wrinkles and sagging reduced.

The process that starts to occur immediately following your first treatment is known as bio-remodelling, which is respoinsible for skin tightening, plumping and a rejuvenated and hydrated appearance.

Profhilo can treat:

  • First and early signs of ageing
  • Loss of volume in the mid-lower face
  • Sagging jowels
  • Lack of under-eye support
  • Fine lines
  • Dull, lifeless skin

FAQs

Two - Three sessions are recommended, with two being the norm.
Results from most skin boosting treatments last between 6 – 12 months, with longevity increasing as you ‘top-up’ with maintenance treatments. Maintenance treatments are recommended once every 6 months.
Following the treatment, you may experience some slight redness around the treatment area, which should subside within a few days. You can look forward to glowing, more youthful looking skin over the course of the weeks following treatment!
A week prior to your treatment, avoid taking aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E and fish oil supplements as these may increase bleeding and bruising. However, if you are taking any prescribed medicines, including aspirin, do not stop taking them. Instead chat with your GP first. It is also recommended to avoid drinking alcohol for 24 hours prior to treatment.
Your practitioner will give you proper aftercare advice following treatment, but here are a few things to be aware of after the treatment. After skin boosters, alcohol should be avoided for a minimum of 24 hours. You should also avoid strenuous exercise, heat exposure and excessive touching or massaging of the area for 1-2 days post treatment. It is important that you keep hydrated by drinking lots of water following treatment.
