LumiLASE™ is an 808nm Diode medical-grade device, with a unique wavelength that penetrates the hair follicles whilst protecting the surrounding skin. Diode laser devices are superior to the traditionally used IPL technology, due to IPL emitting a much more broad spectrum of light, making this method less precise and therefore less effective than Diode technology.

As an added bonus, you can be assured that your treatment will be virtually painless due to the advanced sapphire cooling technology built in to the LumiLASE™, which constantly works to cool the skin right down to minus temperatures, keeping you cool and comfortable throughout.

The LumiLASE™ gently heats the hair follicle under the skin to make them dormant, so any hair regrowth will be finer and lighter.

Treatment Overview

Duration	10 minutes - 1 hour depending on area(s) treated.
Anesthesia	Not required.
Downtime	No intense exercise or exposure to extreme heat for 24 hours. No sunbathing or tanning for 2 weeks either side of your session.
Results	Often noticeable from first treatment, a minimum of 6 treatments is required.
Not suitable for	Epileptics and those who use sunbeds regularly and do not wish to stop throughout treatment.

How long should I go between each laser appointment?

Depending on your hair and skin type and the area being treated, you will usually require treatments at 4-6 week intervals. Each part of the body has a different hair growth cycle, so the hair loss will vary depending on what phase your follicles are in at the time of treatment.

Are there any side-effects from treatment?

Temporary side effects may include: redness, itchy skin, mild follicle swelling, irritation on treatment areas. All of which are normal post Laser Hair Removal treatment. It is important to follow the correct prep and aftercare to receive maximum results with minimal side effects to the treatment.

Do hair supplements affect my treatment results?

Yes - hair supplements can affect your treatment progress as they can stimulate hair growth. We recommend to not consume hair supplements during the treatment course.

Can I wax or pluck hair between sessions?

No, it is super important if you wish to remove hair between sessions to SHAVE ONLY. This is because the treatment targets the hair follicle itself, if you then remove the follicle through waxing or plucking, you are reducing how effective treatment will be.

Can I still attend my bikini laser appointment if I am menstruating?

Yes - you can still have laser hair removal treatment while on your period. We advise you to wear a tampon or menstrual cup if you would like to have the Brazilian area treated.

Which skin tones are suitable for laser hair removal?

All skin tones are suitable for treatment with the LumiLASE. Before treatment, your clinician will assess your skin tone and you will fall into a certain category on the Fitzpatrick scale. The category that you fall into is then set on the device, to enable the appropriate, safe and most effective treatment settings for your skin tone.
